IN THE REALM OF DARCNESS

The dialectic of black, in its poetic form, is based on the melancholy of living.

Living as a form of suffering, a suffering which in the years gone by, has twisted and turned in the apparent equivalence of black and white.

Black carries me into a revered and holy experience. Black does not deny suffering, it honors it. Black does not dwell in details, neither does it try to analyze the cause of suffering. Instead, it reveals suffering as a vast and universal feeling.

This body of works aims for black to be perceived not as a color, but as a sense found in the suffering of our years gone by. A sense which can be understood not just with our eyes, but with all our senses.
